Buttermilk powder was once a basic by-products of butter making. NOW buttermilk powder is dried without lactic acid or cultures added as in commercial buttermilk. To make buttermilk pancake mix follow directions on any pancake mix and substitute reconstituted buttermilk liquid for milk in the recipe. NOW also supplies powdered non-fat dry milk and sweet whey powder.
