Lutein Eyes by Solaray contains Lutein, one of two carotenoids and is naturally found in the eyes. Solaray's Lutein Eyes increases the levels of lutein needed by the body to protect eye tissues from free radical damage and degenerative conditions.

Lutein may act as a filter to protect the macula from potentially damaging forms of light. Consequently, lutein appears to be associated with protection from age-related macular degeneration.

Lutein Eyes also contains Bilberry. Anthocyanosides, the bioflavonoid complex in bilberries, are potent antioxidants. They support normal formation of connective tissue and strengthen capillaries in the body. Bilberry may prevent cataracts, and even treat mild retinopathies (e.g. macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy).
